Pink moon gonna get you all
Apr. 27th, 2005 01:26 pmI have no idea where I am going
...except forward.
Sure enough, just about the time I give up and stop looking
resolving myself to singlehood, reinventing, and revisiting
I finally get that Surprise Gift.
I met a guy named Rich at the aquarium club convention.
While I was trailing after another guy who is too lost in his own misery and mourning to notice me, Rich was watching me wondering how to approach.
We talked for a bit, and I thought him friendly and funny and plesant to talk to, so I gave him my email address at the end of the weekend.
Almost immediately he emailed me with a greeting and said he enjoyed meeting me.
I wrote back, starting the exchange of friendly-casual emails.
He mentioned he writes poetry.
yeah, right. okay. too busy. life is nuts. I'll catch up with him later
Last week I wrote back and figured I would at least find out more about him, what his story is.
I didn't even know where he lived, other than it was either CT or NJ.
1 week later we're planning a date to hang out, he's coming up to visit this weekend.
Rich is a very unique individual, on a multitude of levels.
On the surface, it appears that we have a compatible set of baggage between us
He's 3 years younger, likes enough similar music, dogs, cats, FISH, seems to have a pretty solid grip on the contents of his head (yay!), seems to absolutely adore me, and lives in New Haven (CT)
He's also starting a LJ to post poetry, so welcome
sabbathbreeder. Sabbath, as in "Black" and "breeder" as in "fish breeder".
I never expected this. Not by a long shot. Usually the stuff that you're not expecting is what turns out to be the most interesting.
Stay tuned...
